Elegant, Japanese made, Vintage 1979 Nishiki International Touring bicycle, in great condition. Lake Blue color with gold (tan) lug striping on a 21in (seattube t-c) frame. Tange Double-Butted ChroMoly steel tubing and Tange tubing forks with chrome fork crown, chrome forked ends, and Suntour GT dropouts. Gents model, 10-speed touring bike. As this bike is essentially 42 years old, all original wear and tear items have been replaced. Examples would be all bearings, retainer rings, and grease points on the hubs, bottom bracket, and headset.
It has original matching front and rear 27x1-1/4” Araya Japan alloy wheels with polished hi-flange Shimano hubs w/original Shimano skewers. It has Specialized Touring II 27x1-1/8” tan-walled tires with brand new Kenda threaded 33mm presta tubes and rim strips.
Original Sakae Custom Road Champion handlebar with well-aged tan Brooks England football leather bar tape w/Cateye screw-in tan bar plugs. Original WIN alloy stem with original chrome headset. Original DIA COMPE 500G side-pull brake calipers w/QR with original DIA COMPE drilled brake levers and DIA COMPE gum brake hoods. I installed black Jagwire CGX-SL brake housings with slick-stainless brake cables. It has the original Sugino Super Maxy polished alloy 52/40T 165mm crankset w/Lake Blue inlay with original Sugino dust caps. Complete original Sugino bottom bracket assembly. Pedals are great condition original KKT Pro Vic II 9/16” threaded polished alloy quill pedals w/ NOS KKT polished-tan leather wrapped toe clips (size M) and black leather CyclePro pedal straps with gold lettering.
Original good condition black Selle Italia Anatomic Saddle . The seatpost is the original light alloy polished Sugino SP-H fluted seatpost w/Lake Blue inlay and it has the original Sugino CRMO polished seat binder bolt.
Original HKK black and gold 1/2”x3/32” power-link chain with original 5-speed Suntour gold 14-17-21-24-28T freewheel. The front derailleur is the original Suntour NSL in great condition. The rear derailleur is the original Suntour Cyclone GT long cage with brand new Jagwire slick-stainless steel cables and black Jagwire LEX-SL shift cable housings. Shift levers are original down tube mounted Suntour alloy Power click shifters.
The bike runs well in the traditional friction style as all cables/housings were just replaced, hubs have been overhauled, and the chain has been ran thru the cleaner three times and re-lubed. The paint is 9/10 and decals are probably a 9/10 as far as condition goes, that's just my honest opinion. There are no dings on the frame or forks, it has been well taken care of. I’m very meticulous with the care of my bikes and it shows.
Accessories original to this bike; Suntour Spoke Disc and Cateye Wheel Reflectors. Also includes; original 1979 Nishiki Owner’s Manual and new set of chrome water bottle cage bolts.

This bike has been fully stripped down, properly washed, polished, and reassembled including all components as seen.
