Item Description:
Flat top, 96.799mm Bore, for the Ford / Mercury 2.0 and 2.3 4 cylinder engines,
a set of 4 new ones usually sell for
over 0
(about 0 per piston) – you will be getting these 6 pistons for about .00 each. The number 80175 is stamped on the top of each piston. These could be used in any Ford that had the 2.3 such as; Capri, Mustang, Pinto, Ranger, Thunderbird
You will be getting six (6) very good, not broken or damaged per my visual examination, used Ross Forged Aluminum Racing pistons. These were never in a blowup pins and pin bores look good. They will need to be thoroughly cleaned before usage. I would have no problem building a race engine with these.
Pistons 1, 2 & 3 have no pins but have a retainer still on one side. So they were taken apart with some care.
Pistons 4, 5 & 6 have pins still in them. The pins turn smoothly and easily.
The numbers on the pistons are only for ID purposes for this ad.
This also includes 1 other pin and a few other items as pictured. No rings or other items are included.
Ross Racing pistons are forged from 2618-T61 aluminum alloy with:
* Valve pockets engineered for oversized valves and high-lift cams
* Fully CNC-machined skirts to deal with high heat and side loadings
* Balanced to +/- 2.5 grams
* Aircraft-quality pins
