1981 MERCURY 18 HP OUTBOARD MOTOR 18HP CDI SWITCHBOX & COILS & MISC WIRING

Description

1981 Mercury 18hp outboard motor two stroke twin cylinder CDI Switch box which originally had Mercury part number 339-7452A3 which has been replaced with a newer CDI Electronics Switchbox with part number 114-7452A3 (as shown in pictures). The stamp on this switch box is DC 052820.  Also included are two ignition coils with stamp number 0341 (shown in pictures) with part number 339-832757A4 (part number per online manuals). Also included is the miscellaneous wiring as shown in the pictures. We started this outboard motor prior to dismantling it. This Mercury outboard motor has serial number 7178970 and was assembled in Canada. On line manuals indicate that the 1981 Canadian assembled 18hp Mercury outboards had serial numbers of 7173723 to 7207857 and the same model assembled in the USA for 1981 had serial numbers from 5860332 to 5954910.
